Recreated sweater from Sotra in the collection of the Bergen University museum. This intricate sweater, called a stjernetrøye (star sweater), was worn by men in Sotra, Norway near Bergen. The bottom part is plain because it was tucked into the pants and not visible. I studied a sweater in the collection of the Bergen University museum (first photo), charted a pattern based off of it, and knit this in 2018. 2.0 mm needles, knit in three pieces, hand sewn buttonholes, the black yarn was made from Blæset sheep and white yarn made from Rygja sheep by @selbuspinneri. J.S. initials knit in inner sleeve.
